PRODUCTIONS
- Continue to stage quality productions:
- 2007 Nutcracker - December 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16
- 2008 Coppelia - May 9, 10, 11
- 2008 Nutcracker - December 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21
- 2009 Sleeping Beauty - May 9, 10, 11
- 2009 Nutcracker - December 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20
- 2010 TBA - May 7, 8, 9
- 2010 Nutcracker - December 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19
- Increase Nutcracker opening weekend audience.
- Develop manuals for all productions.
- Inventory assets, determine value, and insure.
- Replace worn-out Nutcracker costumes.
- Define duties for a Back Stage Security Manager.
- Contract a Back Stage Security Manager for Nutcracker.
- Re-paint Coppélia set.
- Repair Cinderella set.
COMPANY DEVELOPMENT
- Document committee responsibilities.
- Recruit volunteers to serve on committees
- Continue preserving BNW history by collecting videos, DVDs and pictures.
- Continue building database for annual membership drive.
- Increase membership.
DANCER DEVELOPMENT
- Continue to grant yearly company scholarships and strive to increase amount available.
- Create a plan to attract and develop male dancers: scholarships for male dancers, TESC connections.
- Continue to provide a positive and supportive experience for all company members.
- Strive to offer three master classes per year.
- Render financial assistance to dancers in need.
FUNDING DEVELOPMENT
- Plan for Artistic Director's retirement.
- Increase business sponsorships.
- Secure a BNW credit card.
- Pursue grant funding.
- Diversify fund raising activities.
- Develop PowerPoint presentation for Sponsorship Committee.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Increase community awareness of Ballet Northwest.
- Expand audience diversity:
- Children
- Senior Citizens - Find sponsors for busing
- Ethnic Groups
- Socio-Economic - Program for free tickets
- Geographic areas
- Upgrade and maintain website
- Increase audience appreciation of dancers and the performance process.
